Just a note if you're wondering what it's about. This is about antibiotic resistance of CD E Coli when they use rifaximin, they showed it created cross resistance with rifampicin (rifampicin penetrates the intestine and macrophages unlike rifaximin which isn't very bioavailable) in the previous study. Amoxicillin didn't create resistance in 3/4 phylogroup, but then it's not very effective against AIEC to being with. There was a study from 2007 that already proposed that the reason rifaximin stops working in some subjects is because of the resistance it creates after a while. I can find it again if anyone likes.
