Hi everyone,
Getting ready for nite-nite and just had to tell someone I'm a little scared about tomorrow. Lots of D tonight, medium pain, overall discomfort, and I'm sure most of it is just nervous about my doctor coming tomorrow. He's the one that's been out of town all week and all the other Dr.'s are waiting on him. I don't even think he knows I'm in the hospital. I've been sleeping and playing games today to stay busy, but I must admit I'm getting very nervous. I know I shouldn't.

Not sure what time Dr. will be here. Could be 7 a.m. or 7 p.m., so we are talking anywhere from 7 to 19 hours for those in other time zones. I hope he shows up early. Whenever I hear anything, I'll try to let ya'll know. Thanks again for all the support and amusement of getting me through the last couple of days. It's meant a lot to me.

Good nite all, or good morning as the case may be. We really need an international time zone map handy. I'm learning a few of the time changes, but not enough of them. As if my poor little brain can handle much more

:ghug::ghug::ghug::ghug::ghug::ghug::ghug: to all and to all a good nite

aw don't be scared, Bev.. this could be the turning point for you. if everything rests on the opinion of this doctor right now, then his return could just be the point at which things start moving in the right direction for you now - just think about the future, where all these horrid symptoms and debilitations you're living with at the moment could all be in the past - if he agrees that surgery is the way to go.

we'll be there with you every step of the way, no matter what happens. just make sure that when you do get to talk to him, you tell him just how scared you are - i'm a big believer in passing our worries onto the professionals so that it becomes their problem, not ours, and their responsibility to reassure and educate us.

nite nite hun, i hope you sleep well. xx

Keep on keeping on, MisB! You'll work through being scared - you've done so well so far. I hope you get a good, result sleep tonight and then wake up ready to have a positive conversation with your family doctor tomorrow. Hugs to you, and sweet dreams.

Bev, I hope this makes you smile as it is meant purely for that. The number of hours will be the same no matter the time zone:). I know that was probably the meds talking. It just struck me as funny:)

Good luck today you beautiful lady!!

dont be scared/nervous. you have fought to come this far. as difficult as it may be try to have positive thoughts. remember we are all here for you and we will be waiting for an update
best of luck and hugs

All right Dexky, and you wonder why people harrass you. Depending on what time it is here compared to what time it is there would depend on how many hours it is until 7 a.m. As it was midnight my time, it would make it 7 to 19 hours, if it had been 5 a.m., it would have been 2 to 14 hours. Get it? I'll get back to you later.....nurse is here.

Bev, nervous is ok. Who wouldn't be nervous? Just try to be brave, which I know you are, and know that we are all here for you and praying for the best. But no matter whats happens you can deal with it. Hang in there!

Hey Bev,
Hope your spirits have picked up a little :) I hope your d has subsided somewhat and you are able to relax. You're strong and will get through this!! Let us know what your doctor says regardless of how many hours the wait is (Im soo confused now ..hehe....:ywow:)
I hope your doctor listens to what you are wanting and needing. After all it is your health!

Take care and chin up :D

Wendy

We're all pulling for you, Bev! Let us know what happens. By the way, it's 1:15 PM here. I think I am just 1 hour earlier than you (I'm in the central time zone). No math required. :)

OK, now that we've had our beginners class on international time, thanks Dexky  I did get to see the dr. today. Looking into options....first, find out why my legs hurt so bad. Spent 3 hours having ultra sounds done, then given massive drugs that knocked me out. The plan is to determine which is best for me, Tampa, Gainesville, or Mayo, and then the best way to get me in. I may go home for a few days then get admitted, or they may do hospital to hospital transfer. That's what's being worked on now. We still don't know if surgery will be an option, but they want me in a place that specializes in Crohn's more so than they do here. Dr. L. has changed several meds, including pain management and testing to find out why my legs hurt. He was here first thing this morning, but then breakfast showed up, went for test, came back for lunch, and passed out. Woke up for dinner. And then...........messsed up the bathroom if you know what I mean. For someone laying on their butt, I can sure cause a lot of trouble. Getting ready to chill out for a while. Just wanted to update. Talke to ya'll later.

All right Dexky, and you wonder why people harrass you.

It's ok Bev. If I didn't get the harassment, I wouldn't have anything to smile about all day:). I know I deserve it:) Hope you are feeling ok!!!

HI Bev, Thanks for the update, we have been thinking and waiting for your update all day. We are praying for you and hope they can move quickly with what they decide to do. I am glad they gave you some new meds and hope they work for you.

lots of Hugs to you

Hey Bev! Glad the ball seems to be rolling, if only slowly for now! sounds like the docs are listening to your concerns and working to fix you up real soon!

Remind me again what type of leg pains you are experiencing? Just pain? OR is there any swelling going on or anything? This may not be at all your issue, but my mom recently has been having a lot of swelling and cramping going on in her legs that keep her from being able to walk properly. Her doctor thinks it may have to do with her vericose veins, which are really bad. She's scheduled for a laser procedure soon to get them treated and hopefully fix her problem. Again, not sure, if it's at all what you are experiencing, but figured I'd throw it out there in the off chance that it may be helpful!
