Scarring on Colon

Hi,
was diagnosed with UC two years ago and as was quite ill went straight onto infliximab.

At my recent colonoscopy was told had scars on the hepatic and splenic regions of colon/large bowel. (This probably explains stomach pains I get).

Is scarring quite common in UC? Does it progress onto anything else ? Will my pain get worse ?
