Hi all - I've recently (in the past 6 months) been diagnosed with IBS, usually C dominated but rare bouts of D aswell.
I'm interested in trying the Specific Carbohydrate Diet but i'm wondering if it would be wise to come off of my birth control pill as I know that can be a factor in yeast over-growth (which I suspect is a factor for me), from the book breaking the vicious cycle the author only mentions birth control briefly and states that users should seriously consider a vitamin supplement (especially B vitamins), therefore i'm assuming this implies there's no need to come off of it? I was just hoping for a second opinion, someone with experience would be fantastic :thumright:
Sorry this has turned into a bit of an essay!
Looking forward to hearing your advice!
Jenn
