Scope Results (kinda)

Scope was done today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had some pain & discomfort. I was able to take a look at the screen to see what the doc was looking at.

He informed me after that everything looked fine. No signs of crohns. ?!?!?!?!?!? I'm happy about this but now I have no idea what to do next.

He prescribed Amitriptyline. I looked it up...depression etc but also for IBS. I see him in September has he took 3 biopsies that I can recall.

So, I'm still not sure what is going on with me.

Sorry you're no further, especially after going through all that.

Yes Amitryptlyine can be used for IBS, it's supposed to relax the gut. I did ok on it a few years but it wore off.

Looks like small bowel testing will be next, please please don't let your GI put it down to IBS at this stage, it is far too soon.

Yep, b12 deficiency indicates something is not right in your ileum. Did he get up that far with the scope?

I will be seeing my family doctor on Thursday and I will ask him for another u/s to check my lower pelvis area. I am still have LRQ pain.

I have no idea how far he got with the scope. All I know is that he said everything looked fine.

I will be pushing for more tests because although I have IBS symptoms, I have more than just IBS symptoms...UGH
