Scope tomorrow...getting nervous...

oo: Hi all...

I posted my intro thread down below. Wow...I can't believe tomorrow is scope day already. I'm getting a little nervous! and A LOT hungry...grrr. I'm actually sitting at work right now. I'll be heading home in about a 1/2 hour, then it will be time to start my prep:thumbdown:

I'm still not super convinced they will find anything. I think of Crohn's as this horribly painful disease with very frequent, bloody diarrhea. I'm a nurse...so that's the image that sticks in my head from nursing school.

I have no diarrhea....I do have constipation...which I'm finding out (thru all of you) can be a sx. I had those couple scary stools with a lot of blood...(in early nov)..but now it's mostly been this thick mucus...it almost looks like tissue....sometimes it's brown, or orange, or pink. or more whitish but streaked with blood. I've never had anything like that but again...I am trying to blame it on being constipated..r/t vicodin use for my joint pain.

The other sx that I'm having have been far worse than the GI stuff....the fevers, joint pain, fatigue,etc.

Overall....I am really anxious to get some sort of diagnosis so I can get on the road to feeling better....so I will go thru with it..lol.

Olivia I wish you sweet dreams during the scope. Although, I don't want you to have Crohn's, I hope you get some answers and relief.

Good luck buddy I hope you get some answers from your scope. I too don't generally get the really bad diarrhea that everyone else seems to I do get the constipation more then the big D and I too also got really bad joint pain while having a flare, the worst was my lower back pain thru the roof. My mine symptom is nausea so as you can see already everyone is different in how this disease can affect them.

Is this where I start describing everything I had or will have to eat tonight? Naw I'll let you use your imagination as to what the rest of us are eating.

Seriously, good luck tomorrow and I hope you get good answers from your scope.

I love nurses, they are great even though they like to wake me up 4-5 times a night to do the rounds thing. But they are the best for keeping us cheered up when we're having a bad go of it.

Good luck tomorrow, I had my last week, piece of cake..oop's sorry wrong word. MY worst thing is the not eating. I am put right out and no groggy feeling when I wake up. You will be just fine? What kind of prep are you having to take?

Welcome Olivia! I hated the prep the most and the actual scope wasn't bad. I hope you get some answers after your colonoscopy.
