Sesame seed oil & Crohn's

Just wondering if sesame seed oil will cause pain for people with Crohn's? I am cooking for my brother who has CD. I usually cook my chicken in butter with some sesame seed oil and thyme. Wondering if I can cook it this way for him? He currently has a flare up and he can't eat a lot.

although the seeds can cause me problems when in a flare i've never had any bad experiences with the oil
