Newly diagnosed. Just spent two weeks in hospital
Today is my second day home, I'm miserable
I still can't get out of bed.
I'm on pedisone 40mg and asacol
I have about two bowel movements a day
That I have to STAND up and do because sitting
Down and going seems like it will kill me.
When I go its barely anything and I just cry
After, get in the hot shower after then crawl
Back into my bed.
I have constant pressure and can't even sit
Up straight. I'm also a new mom to a one month old
Should I go back to hospital
I don't know what I should be dealing with

If you don't think you can manage at home then yes you should go to hospital. How come they let you out feeling like this?

When did you start these drugs? These will take a while to kick in (maybe a week or so) or you may have to try stronger drugs. Do you have an appointment with a GI (person who specialises in crohns) and if so when? To me it should be weekly/biweekly appointments to make sure you are ok.

To make things easier for the time being, nappy rash cream is great for the bum to help soothe it, as well as using a sitz bath. It may also be worth going on a low residue diet for the time being. Us crohnnies find it hard to digest things like wholemeal, salads, corn. At the moment I'm sure virtually everything sets you off, but when you get better it's worth keeping a food diary

I've been on the medication since I've been in the hospital.
I was on IV medication then they switched me to oral a few days before
I was released. Right now I'm just drink ensure, and some white toast here and there and boiled chicken.

My follow up appointment is jan 9th with gi
I just don't know how tough I need to be
And how much I should just deal with

Of course I felt better when I was in the hospital
They had me hooked up to IV morphine
For pain and I needed after every time
I went to the bathroom.

I have ulcers on the inside and out.

I'm just so new to this
I don't know if I need to suck it up
Or go back in.

I'm deff not in as much pain or feeling
Anywhere near what I did when I was first
Admitted to hospital.

Should I at least be able to sit up straight on the couch ?
Cause I can't. Laying down is my only option

So lost and so weak
I'm just so weak from going thru this
Recovery is just too much to deal with at home

When in doubt, I call the GI. Talk to the on call person if the office is closed.

When you are first diagnosed it really is hard to know what to do. Call when you need to and don't feel bad about it.

Hope you feel better very soon. ((((Hugs)))))

If you are still in pain go straight back to the hospital and tell them the problems you are having and how your finding it difficult.
After my surgery I had my mum and brother to help me,Do you have anyone that could help?
