Should I infect myself with home-brew hookworm?

I've been researching helminthic therapy the last few months...

I'm interested, yet in no way can afford what it costs to get lab-sterile eggs of worms.

Coincidentally, my roommates dog recently got hookworm. And he himself has been infected... which he isn't happy about despite my pleading with him that it may lessen his allergies.

Yet, I'm wrestling with the thought of mouth kissing his dog before its worm meds kill its hookworms and infecting myself...

I mean hey, free helminthic therapy. Right?

I doubt, I'll do it... but I can't say it hasn't crossed my mind.

Your thoughts? Anyone done helminthic therapy?

That would be absolutely dangerous for many reasons. There are different strains of worms and you don't know what you might get, second I don't think the worms dogs get are the ova used anyways, third you can't dictate quantity or safety profile.

If you are interested in this therapy the only safe way is to be monitored through a clinical trial. Clinicaltrials.gov

I caught Hook worms when I was in a jungle in Thailand and it wasnt very pleasant! I ended up very Anaemic and lost a lot of weight then finally getting treated in Malaysia a month later.
I would go very carefully if I was you as you wont be able to control the infestation.

Also the dog might not want to be french kissed by you! could rub dog food round your face first.
