I'm so frustrated!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!! I just needed to get that out.
I was in a lot of pain last night, and I was trying to listen to my mom and everyone else who fusses at me when I don't eat, and I ate some dinner.

Big mistake!!

More stabbing pains, more gas, just disaster! I took my vicodin and it only took a little of the edge off. I was finally able to fall asleep, only to wake up at 3am with more pain! Now I'm stuck at work, exhausted, can't eat, and in pain! But there really aren't any meds that work for me that aren't narcotics, so at work I'm just stuck, and I haven't received approval yet to work from home sometimes.

Sigh....

I don't know if the Vicodin makes it worse. It usually doesn't seem to, when it kicks in it helps. But I did hear that narcotics can make you constipated. Fortunately (or unfortunately for us) I don't have that problem at all. Just last night and today have been really bad in terms of gas and pain. I think I might try to take a few hours off today and go home to rest. It's just frustrating when people around you don't understand what you're going through and I get the "why are you always sick?" from people. I just want to tell them to shut up!

Thanks for all your support.

Seriously Ris, if I get the "maybe it's stress" or "did you eat something wrong"? One more time....

in the Uk docs give us antiapasmodics which stop spasm and gas- might be worth finding out about, i take before every meal. opiates make the bowel slow and cause gas to build up so can cause even more pain. having said that when things are really bad my gp does give me the odd morphine ***!

I hear you Donna. The dr tried a few of those antispasmotics I believe, I took Bentyl and Levsin so far, and got NOTHIN. Continued discomfort. Arghhhh.

The dr just gave me a new Rx for Librax, and to be honest I haven't gotten it filled because I feel like it's going to be another waste of $$ and good liver function, ha. Has anyone tried this medication?

Miss I am sorry I know how you feel, everytime we eat = more pain. But we need to eat so just try your best to find agreeableish foods.

When things are really bad I self inject anti spasmodics, find they work much better and best for me is buscopan. never heard of any you mentioned, they prob have different names in uk?
