Ugh I am so glad that we are going to be seeing a New Gi. Hope I am able to contain myself tomorrow when we see the old GI. Everything that I have read in Kotas records are not right or what he told us.

First we were told that it was a very mild case of crohns. I read in records its severe case.

We were told that it was in 2 spots No it shows to have been in 4.

Then he writes that Kota is up til 4 playing video games and watching tv. No thats not what was said. I said he was up til 4 some morning becasue he cant sleep because he is in pain. Nothing was said about video games and tv. And of course he left out the part about him telling me that when he was 12 his mom would have knocked him out if he was still up at 4.

He didnt even want to see us when he started Ko on the 6mp. I was the one that said I would not start him on it until we spoke face to face. This still being the only time he has seen Ko since he was Dx in Feb. He was of no help that day answering any questions. Because you know me I had questions. Well in the records this is what he said...Spent 45 min (we havent seen him 45 minutes total since he has been Ko dr.) discussing with family the various possible adverse reactions Dakota may experience while on 6mp, including pancytopenia, liver inflammation, lymphoma. I have informed family that when treating IBD there is a continuous questioning of risk to benifit ratio. I have informed parents of the vaious other therapies we will consider in the future, including MTX and biologics..

I copied straight from the records and it is complete horse ****.. He didnt say any of this to us. He didn't tell us any side effects I had to read them.. Then when I asked about them he said he had never heard that before. Acted like I was a dumb ass. I have never heard of pancytopenia and I would have wrote it down becasue I had my tablet and pen with me.. He said that there are risk with everything he does in everyday life. Thats what he said about risk.. I asked what the various therapies were.. He said we are not going to talk or think about that right now. We are going to try the 6mp. As for MTX and biologics I dont have a clue what the hell that is either. Ugh I am so mad right now. Why the need to lie about everything.. I told him I was scared this was all new and this was my baby that he was treating and his words to me where WELL ITS SOMEONES BABY I TREAT EVERYDAY!!

No where in his records it shows that I ever even call with questions or concerns. Why is none of that in his chart?

Sorry for the vent..

What can I say?
I know what I want to say., but I can't.
I don't even know how to spell all the nasty names I would like to call your old GI.
Can you report him. Like a grievance. Have it put in his records.
I hope the new GI will be what you need.
Make sure to tell him how you were treated
and depending on his (GI) response,
you'll get your answer on what kind of doctor (GI) he'll be.
How's your boy doing now???

My advice is not to engage the old GI DR, The important thing is that you are seeing a new GI.

One thing you can and should do is post a review of the old GI in the DR Reviews section here on the forum.

Let us know how it goes with the new GI, most likely he may want his own tests done (some GI's are like that)

I will keep my cool tomorrow. I will go in there with a smile on my face knowing this is the last time we will be in that office. It just makes me so mad. I will for sure post a review for this Gi.

My Little Penguin just posted about Improve care now. I had heard about it a few months ago when I was researching Crohns Dr in Nv. We had planned to move to NV as soon as our house sold. Then we were faced with Ko dx of crohns. So I started researching dr there. And NV has dr that is part of Improve care now. I knew he old Gi wasnt a part of the drs. What I didnt realize until tonight Ko new Gi is a part of this program.. I so pray they can figure all this out and make him feel better.

Deep breath, let the negative energy go..don't waste another minute stewing over this bleeeeeep...go in tomorrow smile on your face and tell him to BUGGER OFF! Oh it is time for one of my favorite smileys :kissgrits:

I am so excited for you as the new GI sounds like a winner. I wouldn't even get into any particulars with the new guy except to correct the record on what you knew or said etc. If he knows you were somewhere else and left he knows something went down. No need to drag that sewerage to your new garden.

Boy you have had some real winners...between GI and other docs at the hospital. Is the new GI at another hospital?...I hope! In case of emergency how far is it? Oh I so hope this is the start of something great for the both of you.

Good Luck!

Yes the new Gi is at another hospital. He is about an hour away. The the other Gi or whatever you want to call him was about 35 minutes away. So its not much further. Just worried a little about driving new places lol. But I will get use to it. I will do anything for Ko to feel better.

Thanks everyone. I dont know what I would have done the last few months if I had not found this sight and all you wonderful and helpful people. Thanks so much

good riddance to the old...and good luck with the new...hoping that he is everything you are looking for!!

I believe they were going to see the old GI for the last time. When do you see the new GI?
