Eh... so so, I've been taken off of my Humira for about a month and a half due to another medication I have to take. And they are checking me for histoplasmosis or crytococcus... HOWEVER... having said that I'm feeling pretty good. I've been off of my Humira for almost a week now, and I'm no seeing any signs of regression... yet. Cross your fingers! :)

Still yucko at the mo and back on my elemental drinkies! But a bit better than I was...

Am looking forward to spring and summer as I love the changing seasons!

Spring? Sure doesn't look like it here yet! It's going to snow again tomorrow!

I was feeling pretty good for a while. Now I can't sleep well because I'll wake up in the middle of the night and need to use the bathroom. Then I feel so cruddy I have a hard time getting back to sleep.

Hey
I took myself of the humira about a month ago. I never noticed a big improvement until about a week ago. One, my hair has stopped falling out ,and two I can breathe alot easier. But what I cant stand is the pain. My hole body aches I'm talkin muscle joint back aches. This snow and rainy days contributes more to my aches.
The jury is still out (my GI) on whether or not I can go back on Remicade. At least that took care of most of the aches.
My bowels have been more formed due to the dilaudid each day verys on how many times I go usually around 4 times.
I see my Dr. on the 23rd maybe he will have good news for me .I hope so.

If you want me to keep you up dated on my daily bases about life without Humira
LOL its not a problem. I am not to sure what to expect.

Tammy

Health wise - im ok, got an appointment on tuesday with my doc, so we'll see!

Spring, eh? Freezing rain storm here at the moment... which has closed all schools... meaning I get the day off... AND dont' qualify for the normally paid days off for Good Friday and Easter monday. This is the twenty something major storm of this winter... and I'm so 'shack wacky' it isn't funny. Anyone got property in the California area situated on a major fault line that's going for sale real cheap? Come to think of it, anyone in California got property that ain't on a major fault line? I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the ... Hmmm, remind me... what does grass/green look like, its been so long?

doesnt feel like spring here either, still having snowstorms, hail.. had gales the other day. i'm looking forward to the day when i go for a walk, see the flowers budding, and dont come home with a bright red nose from the bitter cold!

despite the weather, i'm not feeling too bad :) i'm tired, but happy.

I'm doing well except for not sleeping at night. I've actually gone outside a bit the past few days and it was really nice.

It's funny ... we've hard blazingly hot and humid days this past week, with tons of nasty thunderstorms. Now as we get closer to spring, we've been hit with chilly weather. Florida is an odd place.

I've been better, been worse. Can't sleep. I've started losing hair recently, and I've been off the prednisone for a little under a week. Not getting worse, but not getting better. At a stand still.

But, today is cloudless, about seventy degrees and beautiful. Can't complain too much. :)

Lovely Autumn here is Australia - so funny when you all say its snowing Iv never even seen snow!!

Snowing here tonight too. Not sticking too well, and I'm sure it'll all melt when it's 45 F tomorrow, stupid lion/lamb spring behavior.

I'm ready for decent weather though (not hot weather, I'm Scandenavian in ancestry, and get sweaty just at room temperature sometimes)...60 degrees F is perfect for me.

I'm doing okay...

The weather is starting to really depress me...it snowed again last night..another 3 or 4 inches.

No sign of Spring whatsoever!

*Sigh*

Hey Snazzy... wanna do a house swap for a month or so? Its' snowing here at the moment... another 6 or 7 inches... and Tuesday is the 1st of April, for the love of pity... Think this makes the 24th major snow event we've had since December.

Global Warming??? Who coined that phrase? I'd like to get my hands on them. I CAN accept the phrase 'climate' change.. We are breaking weather records in record number... And if it suddenly turns warm, and all that snow melts fast... Boy, I'm glad I don't live in a flood prone area...

Global warming is a misnomer, it's more about major climate changes in reality, extremes actually....just warming is going to be the ultimate result in the end due to the global average temperature increasing catastrophically.

I worked for an ecological action centre a decade N a half ago in a city cursed with the worst hazardous waste atrocity this side of Cherynobal (sp?) so I became very acquainted with environmental change before it became a popular topic with the 'politicians'. But it's really too depressing a topic for me to go into today. The snow was supposed to stop last nite around midnight. It finally slowed this AM at around 9... Originally, we were supposed to get what the cute weather girl (oops, showing my sexist pig side).. meterologist.. called a light dusting... 1 - 2 inches. Instead, we got about 6 inches of heavy snow, the stuff that bends both shovels and backs, then a covering of freezing rain, followed by a couple of more inches of light, powdery fluff snow. If I look out my windows, everything looks like a picture postcard... you know, some quaint scene of a Canadian winter wonderland... You gotta know it's been a 'harsh' winter if a Canadian complains. Course, some folks were out early last nite, in an attempt to stay ahead of the shoveling... they're the folks whose driveways and sidewalks are covered in just the light powder.. under which lurks the ice from the freezing rain.. The perfect combo for slipping and breaking ones neck.
Those of us lazy bums who opted to gamble that today would bring plenty of sunshine to melt the snow haven't fared any better. But at least we have the heavy snow for walking in w/o slipping and winding up in the Emergency Room.

Anyway, this snow apparently came to us from Texas. Hmm, so did George W..
Has anything good ever come from Texas? Oh, yes, the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders... (apologies to all my US brethren on the forum, esp. the Texans. I'm just a crazy Canuck who is sick and tired of all this @%@#!!*#$ snow, okay?)

Well, I just finished with a flare-up earlier this month and now my seasonal allergies hit me like a sledge hammer this week. The sinus drainage of course seems to be starting up crohn's problems again so I've got bad allergies plus the pain and nausea and even a spot of blood this morning.
