I will be picking up my first CBD oil/Edibles today. I will start weaning off the steroid next week. The steroid (Uceris) is the only pharmaceutical i am on for Crohns currently.

I will still have to work on the fistulas but i'm hopeful that once the inflammation from the Crohns is under control that my fistula situation will stabilize enough where i feel confident that a surgery will have a lasting effect.

So excited and relieved all at once. :dusty::headbang:

I'm using an edible. I take approximately 12mg right before bed. They do not label it any more than simple mg content (i believe of THC).

I'm also vaping but the dispensary i have in my town has extremely limited stock and the staff are not knowledgeable enough.

I'm scouring these boards to get help with what to look for and for a vaporizer suggestion. the one i have seems to be clogged and i know i kept it clean.

I'll see about scrounging up some of the links I found while I couldn't sleep Sunday. What I can scrape out of my sleep deprived mind right now is this:

Look for high CBD strains with some THC in them. CBD is what we're looking for, but we have to find the right ratio of THC to make it work the best for the individual. CBD also minimizes the effects of the THC.

Smoking/vaping is good for pain. Ingesting it is where the real gut healing happens. Something about receptors for it and strengthening the gut walls.

I eat a butter that was made for me. I think it's the wrong strain, because I didn't know anything when I bought it, but the sleep and mood stabilization are good enough. It's keeping the stress down, and my life is nothing but explosions right now. Next cannabis purchase will be much more thoughtful.

Here's some good stuff from Leafly:

https://www.leafly.com/news/strains/what-cannabis-strains-are-high-in-cbd

They've got a really great phone app, too, that will tell you whether or not the strain you're looking at is available nearby.

I prefer Sativas, just because Indicas put me to sleep when I smoke them. I think my butter was made with Indica and I don't feel any effects, so there's a great reason to eat it instead of smoke it.

I use Kanger Evod to vape Golden Extracts. I do not like vaping it - have tried indica, sativa and hybrid (their terms), and all make me tired. I do prefer ingesting high-CBD cannabis oil, as you might have read on other threads. :) I have found a 66% CBD/4% THC from Siskiyou Sungrown. Please keep us posted on your progress!
