I started Humira about 8 months ago after bad reaction to Infliximab - seems to be working ok but have recently been having a few complications due to suspected strictures down below at the bottom end!

My consultant wants to do colonoscopy and endoscopy (urgh!) and possibly dilate the stricture(s) if they think it is necessary.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this procedure recently, and how quick is the recovery period, going back to work, etc? Also did you resume normal diet afterwards or did it take time?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi bc, my strictures are terminal ileum area & basically for me its like a normal colonoscopy but obviously longer whilst the specialist balloon dilates it. Recovery time is the same as getting over a coloscopy. However if yours are lower down it might be different. Sorry cant be more specific, but good luck with it hope it goes well for you.
