I have a moderate level stricture in my terminal ileum. Sometimes if I eat a large meal later I will feel pain as the large bolus comes to the stricture. I especially felt this during a barium xray when I had to drink such a large amount of fluid, it was very painful when the liquid got to the stricture - which I could tell as they were xraying every 20 minutees and commenting about how slow the barium was moving at that spot. So its like trying to shove an orange through a straw.
If the stricture closes, you will then have an obstruction. I've had partial obstructions that have resolved. A full obstruction comes with nausea, vomiting and great pain and requires getting to the ER as I am told it will need surgery at that point.
Before the entocort, I did notice a change in BM to smaller, narrower shapes.
