I was going to post this in EIM section, but there is more traffic here. My DS just woke from a nap with a thin blurry line going across his field of vision in his right eye. No pain, no other changes. He is blind in his other eye from a traumatic injury a few years back so pupils are already very uneven.

I can call the ophthalmologist on Monday but thinking I should do something sooner. What say you, committee? Why does this stuff always happen on the weekend?

please head to the ER where your opthamologist is on staff
I know for ds we would have to call on the way in to the on call opthamologist and head straight in to ER
I wouldn't wait until Monday
Eye issues can get ugly very quickly

Let us know how he is

Yes mlp is right (of course). We were given a whole host of eye issues that would cause him concern and blurry lines was one of them.
Please call and do not wait.

That sounds like it could be uveitis. My husband has had it many times (he has AS but not Crohn's). I would call the on-call ophthalmologist or go to the ER (or both!).

We went to emergency after making a few calls to find one with an opthamologist. As we were driving it totally cleared up. They still did a thorough exam and didn't find anything significant. Whew. This is the first time we haven't gotten bad news in a long time.

Thanks for your help.
