I have been taking Humira for about 1.5 years. About a year in, I started having a reaction at the injection site. At first, it was pretty minor. Now, it swells (a lot in my opinion), is red, warm to touch, and itches like crazy. I rotate injection sites--use my belly and thighs. Zyrtec seems to delay the reaction a little and Benadryl seems to do little more than make me sleepy. The good news is the swelling goes away in a couple days. Anyone else with the itchy lump find some relief? The reaction isn't a deal breaker for the drug and I can live with it, but...geez, enough already.

Can you use something like cortizone or some sort of prescribed steroid cream? Has your GI or GP suggested anything at all? I haven't dealt with that myself (only just finished the loading doses). Wondering if icing would help at all?

i am hoping that it goes away for you!
after having 8 injections with 0 side effects and it was working great i started having severe reactions at the injection site.
my rash also red raised warm and extremely itchy is sometimes over 7 inches in diameter. benadryl etc never helped and it lasts about 4 days every injection ( makes me dread them even more)
after this reaction then i started having severe headaches and now im back to my usual fatigue. as well as more chronic bowl movements. my doctors are beginning to take me off the humira and start 6mp. good luck and god bless!
