Switching from entocort to prednisone

I was taking 9mg of Entocort for a month, then my GI doctor decided to put me on a 7 week prednisone taper. I wasn't told to taper off the entocort since the prednisone would replace it, and about two days after stopping entocort I started having serious stomach pain, fatigue, and nausea. After letting the doctor know, they told me to do a 6 day entocort taper with 6mg for 3 days, then 3mg. I'm frustrated because I'm feeling worse than ever. Should I be on a longer taper?
