I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2013 when I had a bowel obstruction, I had an ilieocecal resection in 2014. I have been on imuran and cimzia since diagnosis, I also have ankylosing spondylitis. I have off and on had bad days but never more than one or two at a time. The first week of December I couldn't function due to right lower quadrant pain that was persistent with nausea and vomiting. I saw my GI, had a CT scan which was normal. He started me on Prednisone which has made a big difference. I had an EGD and colonoscopy, I had a esophageal stricture which was dilated and the colonoscopy looked normal. Still waiting biopsies. Anyone else with this experience???

I've not had the exact same experience but I felt I should post because Im kind of going through the same thing. I was diagnosed with crohns June 2015 but its now a question mark about whether that is the right diagnosis and Im having a colonoscopy and ct/mri scan to see whats happening but Im getting all my original symptoms. Obviously I have no idea what its going to show but I thought I would reply and say im sort of in the same situation and I can personal message you or reply back to this thread about what my colonoscopy shows. My first colonoscopy only showed inflammation on the biopsies so it may be the case that where youve been on the pred its really reduced the inflammation and it might only be visible on biopsies now. Hope things improve for you

was it a CT enterography? colonoscopies don't really see the small bowel, or the thickening of the wall at all. MRI Enterography may reveal more.

No it was just a CT with and without contrast, biopsies are still pending. I feel better on the prednisone. It makes it hard to know what to do next.

CharlotteM,

Sorry you are going through this too. Thank you for sharing, it is nice to know that someone understands.

I definitely understand what you're going through, I'll let you know what my colonoscopy is like and if it shows anything but it might be a while with it being the holidays
