tests, tests and more tests
Hi everyone,
Well, I have to get a CT scan of the pelvis and abdomin today. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next week. Had a sigmoidoscopy done in August (doc found an ulcer in the colon, biopsy of the ulcer came back as "abnormal"). Bloodwork came back okay, red cell count was good, white cell count seemed normal. They said they did a Saccharomyces Cerevisiae test and that came back high. I was hoping that the colonoscopy would have been enough to determine whether I have Crohn's or not, but they said a CT scan would be helpful because of the severe abdominal pain I have. How reliable is the Saccharomyces cerevisiae test? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. 30 minutes until I have to start drinking that awful liquid...YIKES!!!
