Hi All
Did everyone turn there clocks ahead an hour last weekend?
Is anyone experiencing flare-up symptoms
Lately I have been really hot and sweaty feeling nauseated most of the time and really tired. Bowel movements have increased and seem to be more runnier.

Tis the time. Is anyone else in a flare

Me too. :(

It started about a week ago. My joints are killing me, no food is working out for me at all (at the beginning of ever flare, I know it'll be bad if I can't eat much) and everything else you described.

I guess it is time.

Funny you started this post...I'm flaring like MAD today. I did not sleep well last night, woke up so hot I had soaked the sheets with sweat, and my shoulder hurts so bad I can barely move it.

sorry to be a pain is the arse but I feel absolutely fine......touch wood!!!

Sorry to hear you guys are all feeling crappy though.

There are some current theories that say immune disorders like CD can be caused or worsened by altered levels of Melanin. I can't remember if it was too much or too little though.

A change in sleeping pattern would alter the Melanin levels.

Hey Ruth
Maybe your body needs some more time. Spring dosen't s officially arrive for another couple of weeks.Don't take this the wrong wayI wouldnt wish anyone to get sick.
Have a good day

This is soooo weird!
I started to feel unwell on sunday night with a fever.
Both Monday and tuesday night ive been really feverish (for no aparent reason) and sweating LOADS! I even had really bad nightmares on monday night coz my temp was so high!
But thats all calmed down now.........but today.......my crohns was worse! Tummy ache, D, I was starting to dread i might be having a flare up (still really hope im not) but this evening, its settled down.
Im still gonna keep a really good eye on it though! ......but weird huh!?

I think some folks (and we even had a poll on here about this at one time, after a link listed spring and fall as the most likely times for flareups) are sensitive to the things that happen with seasonal changes... Like, people w or w/o crohns can be suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder.. and 'they' know that stems from less sunlight. There's flu season, and allergy seasons... and lots of folks with crohns are allergy sufferers too.. many attribute it to immune disorders. I can see many folks with crohns being adversely affected by changing seasons. I don't know if switching from Standard to Daylight Savings Time can affect one that much... but I'm wondering if the power of suggesting it could just might!

In my research, I have read about seasonal flares a few times. Both of my flares have been in the winter time, but my GI didn't really seem to be a believer of that theory. People flare at all times of the year, so it could just be a coincidence for me. Also, each flare was 18 months after the births of my children, and coincided with a hyperthyroid stint. Giving birth can effect thyroid too, but 18 months is too long afterwards to be connected, says my endocrinologist. Another coincidence I guess. Also - winter around here lasts from about October to April. HA!

I've been in a flare for about 4 days now... Going back and forth between my bed and the bathroom =(
No surprise though... I've been feeling great for a while now so it's about time to be reminded that I still have Crohns.:depressed:

I've been flaring for 7 months now, nothing new for me, although I'm actually seeing some improvement (not to jinx) the last day or two, going less frequently, feeling overall a little better too. I'm trying to be positive.

I have been not feeling good for the last week. Tenderness in my LRQ and feeling tired..... This always happens to me early spring and early fall....
