Thanks for posting!

When I initially glanced at your sentence, 'According to Helio', I misread it as Hello... and thought 'Hello Magazine has a story on IBD treatnents?!?!?, What? Right after Kate and Will's family shots??' :duh: . :rof: :rof:

My youngest daughter will on vitamin d supplements for life as her body can not maintain levels without them.

Low Vitamin D is responsible for a lot of things. Our whole family (including non IBDers) are deficient.

S takes vit D as do I. I try to remind daughter and husband... when I once asked to have my vit D, my doctor warned me the cost wasn't covered by our healthcare (unless necessary for a medical reason). Apparently, our government assumes everyone is deficient so by bother testing! :yfaint:

Vitamin D testing in Australia is now only covered for high risks groups.

K was tested before this ruling come in. Her testing in covered once a year, because she has a dx deficiency in vitamin d. I also have a previous dx mine maybe covered.

The thinking is can't have vitamin d deficiency if you are blonde and have blue eyes.

Someone remind me... Entyvio is an infusion and Stelara a shot? Or is it a pill? And both are effective with Crohn's?

Stelara is a shot that is given every 3 months in Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. In Crohn's, it seems to be given every 8 weeks instead. It also been done as an infusion in trials but the infusion is not commercially available yet. It is doing well in trials but is not approved for Crohn's yet - should be in the next year or so.

Entyvio is an infusion and is approved for both Crohn's and UC.

No, not yet. Our children's hospital is using Entyvio though - but mostly for teens and not for little kids.

Using Entyvio at our center also and I have heard of a seven year old on it.

A while back there was some prediction of O moving to Stelara should Remi stop working given her psoriasis issues.
