In a few weeks I'm going from Ohio to Myrtle Beach for vacation :)

Not sure the travel time, estimating 10 hours or so? The little travel pack that came with the Humira is used for a "few hours," so this is definitely too long. How would you recommend travelling? Also, should I bring my sharps container? I also have to take Methotrexate with me too, so have that sharps container to bring too. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Ohio to myrtle beach could take between 10 and 13 hours depending on the time of day. If you are coming into Myrtle around 10 am -12pm you can get caught in a lot of traffic in the middle of nowhere with pit stops few and far between. I haven't been to myrtle in a few years but I recommend planning the trip so you are driving into Myrtle early in the morning.

Is it possible for you to have your Humira shipped to your beach address? My provider works very well with me and if I say can you ship one pen here with a single sharps disposal, they will do that. I would check with them. Of course, you would need to schedule delivery for when you will already be there...but, worth looking into!

I can try to ask... But I doubt it will happen. My insurance, great in some aspects (approving expensive drugs like Remicade and Humira very easily), is so annoying in other aspects. Like being super slow. Even if I asked now, almost a month before my trip, they probably wouldn't have any response before then.

We recently went on vacation & I had to bring 2 pens with me. I just packed them with 2 of the freezer packs in a little cooler. They were fine. The freezer packs were just starting to get soft.
I did not take a sharps container. I put my empty pens back in my little cooler & then when I got home, put them in there.
We flew - so I was sure to have all me prescriptions with me. But no one even asked.
Have a great vacation!
