I am currently taking 25mg of prednisone so some night i have my bouts of insomnia, but does anyone have trouble sleeping fully throughout the night? i usually get up around 4 a.m and then 6 a.m and then a couple more times before i have to leave my place at 9 a.m. i have been doing this for about year or so and i always am groggy throughout the day, which causes me to take a nap later in the day, which makes me less tired around bed time.

So how do you deal with broken sleep? does anyone have any tricks to reduce the amount of times they go throughout the night?

I had really bad insomnia when I was on pred, it's quite a common side effect.
I know what you mean about having to nap during the day too.
I have a relaxation podcast on my iPhone which I listen to to make me drop back off, or sometimes I find that having a hot bath with some lavender bath stuff in helps (although I have fallen asleep in the bath doing that!)

Sorry that's not massively helpful! Hope you find something that works soon. I'm sure some others on here will have some better advice!

I too am on 25mg of prednisone right now and get some insomnia. But, I also have that head cold stuff right now and the headache is worse at keeping me up along with some nosy dogs next door that are constantly barking. So, I'm afraid that I too deal with exhaustion.

Someone on here mentioned to me about this pillow mist stuff that's supposed to relax you and help you fall asleep. Got some to try and that seems to help a little sometimes. The stuff I got to try was by earththerapeutics but you can also find it at bath & body works. Good luck:)
