There has been a discussion going to about the use of prednisone in sport.

Prednisione is a Glucoscortisteroids and as such is banned at all times

All glucocorticosteroids are prohibited when administered by oral, intravenous, intramuscular or rectal routes."


If you or child to competing a high level you need to find when a TUE -Therapeutic Use Exemption is required to be completed.

I have contacted our sports governing body which is Swimming Australia, and have been advised that aTUE is only need if competing at The Australian Open Swimming Championship level. You need to check with your sports governing body their requirements.

If my child returned a positive drug test at her level we would need to complete a TUE at the point.
