under my hair!

I have a few areas that itch terribily under my hair...just on one side of the head...Had the itch for 2 months now. No hair fall (TILL NOW) and if I manage not to scratch it calms down a bit. Anyone else had this? Is this a Crohns thing?

I get it too sometimes. Mine happened while I was in my first few infusions of Remicade. I'm not sure if it was related to the meds or not. What meds are you taking?

I just take Pentacol....a version of Pentasa. But I've been on it for six months or so..and the rash is recent. Did you find a cure?

I think, because you mentioned a rash with it, you may want to consult with your doc. Many of us here also have psoriasis, another auto-immune disease that seems to go hand in hand with IBD. If it is psoriasis, there would be no cure. BUT some of the meds we take for IBD can also treat the psoriasis ~ like biologics.

since you have a rash I'd talk to the doctor. I get lots of itches and/or pain on different parts of my body for no apparent reason. I've been told its probably peripheral neuropathy. It doesn't associate with a rash or anything visible on the skin.

skin problems go with crohn's just like arthritis. it could just be a reaction but i know it's on the list of reasons to contact your doc my rhemy listed

me too. How it itches , its really bad on the upper sides of my head near the front. dr is switching to Humira and because the remicaide was making my liver go all funky. Do you use anything for it?

I resisted scracting it for a few days and it passed...wishing you the same!

as strange as it seems it always calms down for a few weeks after i color my hair. other than that i try not to scratch.

With it being winter, i'm assuming you're in the northern hemisphere, it may be eczema or just dry winter skin.
