So spoke to my IBD nurse today.

Was she mad or was she mad?!!!! Would not want to be that consultant for all the money in the world tomorrow.

He had not put my name on the list for patient discussions at the meeting tomorrow morning. He had said I was ok and coping well with my very mild symptoms. He also put that my biopsy results were given to me and discussed.

He is such a bloody liar!!

Have now got my biopsy results. They have come back as indeterminate. So who knows what will be next for me now.

Should get a phonecall sometime tomorrow afternoon. Will let you all know what is in store, if anything, for me.

Thanks.

My nurse is wonderful. My usual consultant is great as well. Just this other knobber!!

Got told I got possible arthritis in my right knee and also got TMJ in my left side of my jaw!!

Gonna fall apart before they fix me I think! Lol

Just to butt in here. I think this stupid trend is catching. Why is it some gastros are such knobsters. Rung by my gp today as hb dropped to 62 (should be about 110) and he then rang the local hospital.

My usual gi on holiday so he spoke to the gi who I have seen once before - he was annoyed by being called down to the day treatment unit when I had a transfusion reaction with major urticaria etc...I heard him giving the poor nurse grief whilst I was in the side room itching to death etc.

Anyways gp rung me back...knobster GI want to admit me on friday for transfusion...why..I usually have it on the day unit. But worse he thinks the drop in hb due to my azathioprine...HELLOO...I've had major bleeding and pain...bleeding =drop in hb in my book...aaaagh. So he wants to STOP aza...aagh. Thank god my own gastro back off hols on friday. I shall be ringing my ibd nurse in the am to ask why on earth he wants to admit me..on a friday...doesn't he think i have spent enough time in hospital...or that speaking to me about it would have been an idea. And also why he can't see that bleeding will be the cause of hb drop...all other blood counts ok so it can't be the aza anyway.

Rant over, lets hope my ibd nurse will get on the case...we have 2 and they are both brilliant.

Hi littlemissh,

The idiot I saw on Friday said that I couldnt have ID cause my last colonoscopy showed signs of improvment. He wouldnt have it that I had been on aza, mercaptopurine and remicade/infliximab. I reasoned that this was the reason for the improvement not that I didnt have IBD.
So glad I have an IBD nurse who I trust completely. My usual gastro consultant is fab, he was on the wards on Friday so wasnt in clinic.
I just want it sorted now and some concrete answers as to whether or not I have crohns as well would be nice.

Hopefully they will get you sorted as well. xxxx

Just had a phonecall from IBD nurse. She has said they want to do another flexi sig next week. Depending on the results depends on my treatment.
This does worry me slightly for the following reasons.
I have had a lot of meds recently which I had become allergic/reactive to.
It stands to reason that those meds have done a bit to help relieve my symptoms.
This was shown in my recent colonoscopy.
I think they just dont know what to do for me now but are also reluctant to go forward with the surgery route because of my colonoscopy showing signs of improvment.
I am really worried they will say we will see how you go. They have seen how I go with no meds after the whole pred fiasco.
Will see what happens and take it from there I suppose.

It's not ideal but at least they are willing to do another test, hopefully this will be more informative. Keeping my fingers crossed as always :)

Thanks AB.
Not sure if I will go ahead with it cause I only had a colonoscopy done in December so dont see the point.
Fed up of being poked and prodded around and not really getting anywhere.
To tired to deal with anymore at the moment.
Will let you know what I decide
xxxx
