Increasing to how much MLP? 40? Is there any improvement in symptoms soon after the shot?

Dexky
he will move up to 40mg every other week.
He is currently at 20 mg
but his sed rate is up (23) not much but his rate is always about 10 even when they are seeing inflammation the scope.
The last time before he was dx it was 28 so GI is very concerned.
with that combined with all his other stuff.
He gets some relief ( not enough) within 24-48 hours of the shot but after about 5-6 days
he starts to get more and more symptoms.
He is down right miserable by the next shot day living off zofran /levsin.

He required a higher more frequent dose of remicade ( every 6 weeks)
So we are going to try 40 then see how it goes .
Especially since some of the other stuff they want to get under control quickly.
Rheumo who we adore also thinks 40 is his best option
At this point.

Whenever I think about the need for a cure, I think about your son. I hope this works for him!!!

Will be thinking of your son and hoping this increase will really make a difference! will watch for more updates!

Shot due this Friday/Sat
Still waiting *(impatiently - mind you) for it to work the same magic as remicade:voodoo::voodoo::voodoo::voodoo::voodoo:

Did I mention I loved remicade ( pesky allergic reaction):ymad:

I wanted to do 20mg at the start of our Humira journey. Our GI said they rarely do that dose because it doesn't work as well....so maybe moving to the 40 mg will be just what he needs. (And it comes in pen form...easier and quick)

DS has the syringe
He already. Got one dose of 40 mg two weeks ago( almost)
Second dose of 40 mg tomorrow .
So far no real change :(

Hoping you see some improvement soon! We have not started our Humira yet :( ....waiting on insurance to approve

Insurance approval took the longest for us.
Apply for the my humira card now
So once your insurance has approved you don't have to wait again for that to be processed and approved .
We even had a four week lead time due to remicade and it still took every bit of that time .

Good luck mlp, I too am hoping it weaves its magic for your lad!
