Hubby went to his naturopath appt and got some good info. which we will be using. hes still in pain off and on. trying to make sense what triggers it. his skin on his belly hurts at times to touch. not sure why. the pain seems to radiate to other areas not just one. he did have a bm so no obstruction gladly. still trying to come to grips with it all. the Entocort hasnt helped that much

I'm not sure what the radiating pain would be from, but I would hope someone else from the forum has some experience or understanding of it and can help.

Otherwise, if your husband feels the entocort hasn't helped, is he able to consider going on prednisone? It's stronger, and acts quicker. Otherwise: is he on any maintenance medication for his IBD?

When I was giving birth it was really painful to touch my skin in my upper left quadrant (the nurse had to keep monitoring the baby heart rate). It was making me scream and retch, way more painful that actually giving birth.
At that point I did not realise I was in a flare. I think the pressure on the intestines from inside and out was just too much.
It wont be the cause of his pain, well I guess not!, I'm just saying I can understand that touching the skin can be painful.

How is your husband now? I saw you wrote he was going to the ER. Hugs to you, people often forget the suffering of the carers.
