Very concerned about my bowel habits

As most of you know, I was in the hospital this week because of constipation and severe pain trying to go to the bathroom. I was given a laxative at the hospital, with in 45 minutes I was able to go again after 5 or 6 days of not being to go. I had pretty consistent diarrhea for 1-2 days but things since have slowed down. It is starting to be difficult to go again. When I do go, its small amounts and I never feel like I have completely emptied my bowels. I am not having the pain I was before, but I feel like this is how it started.
They did do a ct in the hospital, but I don't remember what the results were and I was in so much pain that I didn't think to ask. As for blood work, I know my magnesium level was low and my white blood cell count was high, but I don't know any of the other numbers. I am going to try and get reports on monday for my GI.
I am terrified of a stricture and/or obstruction. I am still waiting on my insurance to approve Humira, hopefully there will be headway on that soon. I was on steroids briefly in the hospital, but they took me off of them after one day saying they weren't necessary.
Is it possible my bowels are just slowing down?

What about trying a small dose of Miralax everyday with lots of water to try to keep things moving? Miralax shouldn't cause you any problems.

It's hard to believe they wouldn't have notified you or released you with an obstruction. Even
a stricture they should notify you. It's always best to see the report for yourself. If they didn't tell you something like that, that's bad.
