I was diagnosed with crohns in 2010 after 15 years of seeing doctors on and off with no clean cut diagnosis.. I'd get better then worse then better...Stupid rollercoaster. Did the medicine thing, the eating right thing and I got better. After my seperation at the end of last year I couldn't refill my meds cuz I no longer had two incomes but I felt better and wasnt having any symptoms so I thought no big deal. Well now here I am miserable again and this time around its worse. Not only do I have the diarrheah and the pain... my entire body is sore as if I have been working out all day.. shoulders, arms, hips and legs.. back.. neck..actually there isnt a part of my body that doesnt hurt... feet too. My hands go numb and then tingle a lot. I cant hold on to any thing for long before I cant feel it. I get dizzy.. vertigo twice but mostly dizziness.. My concentration took a vacation and I have been getting confused a lot lately. My work is suffering and by 2 pm I am literally falling asleep and when I get home all I do is lay down so my house looks like crap. I was anemic for awhile before I was diagnosed but these symptoms are worse than what I was experiencing before so idk.... I made an appointment with my doctor but he cant see me until Nov 13. Could this be a kind of anemia? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Beyond anemia, I would also be worried about some type of vitamin deficiency, such as magnesium or B12. I'm not sure that I would wait that long if you are experiencing bouts of neuropathy. Is it the GI that you have an appt. with in November? If you could get in with a GP sooner, he could run the vitamin panels to check for deficiencies. It is definitely something you need to get to the bottom of sooner rather than later.

In addition to Clash's excellent advice, I'd like to add that you might want to ask your GP to refer you to a specialist besides a GI - the neuropathy doesn't really sound like IBD symptoms to me, so they may want to have you checked out for other stuff to at least rule it out. I'm not sure if a neurologist would be your best bet, but if your bloodwork isn't revealing then at least keep that in mind. Good luck!
