Hi,

I am having such a difficult time right now. I eat and everything goes right through me. I do feel hungry but nothing will stay with me. Can anybody give me some ideas of some food that might be easier on me? Thanks so much in advance.

Have you tried a liquid diet. I heard that can help. I only had d for a few months but mostly always had c. Best of luck.

I have that problem also. I eat and almost can bet the farm that within an hr I will need a bathroom close. As far as foods that help, ect. It varies from person to person. I'd try liquids or very bland things for awhile and work your way up. You can also keep a food diary. This will help you to know which foods you handle well versus the ones that go right through you. I am on cholestyromine powder for the D and it seems to help. It causes bloating though but will keep you out of the bathroom. Hope this helps ya out some. Take Care :)

Hi, I remember being like this. I tried satchets to keep the D at bay but they didn't work but I found codeine phosphate worked for me, it helped with the cramps and slowed the D, but not enough to constipate me. You could also try just eating things like baked chicken or boiled rice, things that are plain and easy on the digestive system, turkey is also good and white fish. Hope this helps a little.

Hi,

Thank you all for the advice. By liquid diet do you mean Ensure and stuff like that? I have tried eating a million different things, mostly bland and it all just goes right through me (what a discusting thing to have to talk about!!). Do ya'll have any ideas on fixing a very sore behind? Thanks again!

Try just applying a barrier cream on the external area thats sore, something like Sodocrem or Titanium that should ease the soreness.

This may not be helpful but I noticed after I was put on a low fiber/ low residue diet that I have had less D. It is still there but not as bad. I have had to cut out all fresh fruits and veggies except lettuce. I also can't have wheat bread or anything with nuts or seeds. It has helped a little bit.
