What do you do during those 2.5-hour infusions?

I'm doing Remicade every 2 months, and the infusions are 2.5 hours each.

But I'm just a noobie, so I'm looking for ideas about what to do during that time!

Here's my list so far: read, sleep, engage the nurse in an intense philosophical discussion on the quasi-creationist origins of the human epidermis.

What else do/would you do for 2.5 hours, if you're stuck in a lounge chair with a needle in the back of your hand?

I listen to music. Imagine myself playing guitar. I read. Talk to the nurse about random things or ideas. I have also been know to eat during my infusions, what I'm a growing boy () this way not ^ that way.

Watch UMD's or read or play video games or sleep...also hope I don't have to use the bathroom again before it's over.

I don't get bored when I have things at hand, but it appears that my June 5th Remicade will most likely be my last since I am quite far from remission, onwards to the next step in this guessing game.

i do homework, read their outdated magazines, or try to watch tv. it usually takes 4-5 hours for me, so i get up and walk up and down the hall. the last time i brought my laptop because they had wireless internet (!). but i don't think i'll be doing that again because it was so awkward to move around when you have an iv, a blanket, a pillow, AND a laptop to worry about.

i wish i could talk to the nurses a bit more. they're really nice, but the infusion center is always full, and most of the other patients are little kids who need more attention.

I mostly just read and listen to my mp3 player. Sometimes I will talk to the other patients and the nurse. Just depends on how I am feeling and my mood. :)

Just had my Remicade yesterday...

I read half of this:
