I'm 16 years old and was diagnosed with Crohns Disease about a month ago. I had to have emergency surgery because my bowel had perforated. I had not been feeling well for a couple months. That's how we discovered CD. In April I have my first appointment with a GI doc. So I was wondering what to expect??? Will they put me on meds?

I would guess they will probably put you on medicine. I hope they can get you in remission soon.

Currently I'm experiencing very few symptoms. I just have to watch my diet. In surgery they had removed some of my intestines so I figured that's why I'm feeling so much better

That is indeed why you are feeling better. The inflamed section of your gut has been cut out.

They are probably at first going to be most concerned that you continue to recover well from the surgery. They will also probably eventually try some of the immunosuppressant medications to try to delay or prevent a recurrence of your Crohn's. So they may start running some tests to see which of those medicines is right for you at this point.
