Where are all the sports fans?!

Just wondering if we have any big time sports junkies on this forum, I know we do, we have to! It's a MUST! Lol. I'm a HUGE sports fan, absolutely love them. My favorite sports are dirt track racing ( cars, not motorcycles ), football, baseball, basketball, and other forms of racing as well.

What sports are YOU into? Who are your favorite teams? Or favorite drivers if you watch racing?

Here are all my favorites:
NFL: Tennessee Titans
Favorite current player/all time: Chris Johnson/Eddie George
MLB: San Francisco Giants
Favorite current player/all time: Buster Posey or Tim Lincecum/Barry Bonds
NBA: Atlanta Hawks
Favorite current player/all time: Like alot of players and my favorite player of all time still plays, Jason Terry
NCAA Football AND Basketball: Ohio State Buckeyes

And in NASCAR, I root for several guys ( Jeff Burton, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch, etc ) but if I had to pick an absolute favorite driver it would be Kevin Harvick. My favorite driver of all time though is Jimmy Spencer, LOVE him. Lol.
 
I love Rugby League and go watching the Wigan Warriors as often as I can. I'd also like to add that League is a completely different sport to that Rugby Union rubbish that recently had a world cup!

I also support Wigan Athletic who are a football team in the English Premiership (although not for much longer as we are currently bottom of the league and look like getting relegated)

I also like watching Formula One, Jenson Button is probably my favourite Driver.
 
I'm not very familiar with rugby and that version of football, but I'm just glad to know we're not alone as sports fans! Haha.

And I have watched Indy Car Racing and Formula 1 several times. I just love racing and if nothing else is on, that's what has to feed my addiction. That whole Dan Wheldon deal was horrific. Those cars at those speeds have absolutely no business being on a small NASCAR sanctioned track like Las Vegas.. it was really scary to even think about it before the race happened and then after the accident, it was just entirely shocking.
 
Yeh the whole Dan Wheldon thing was horrible, and was covered a lot over here with him being British.
I do also like a bit of horse racing and golf and things, Although because I work in a call centre for a sports bookmakers I have to try and keep up with it all!

I do watch a bit of nfl and used to follow the new england patriots a little bit. although like most american sports its not a sport i understand!
 
I've followed Portsmouth FC for 45 years now. Soccer to our American friends & football to us Brits.
They are having a very tough time financially for the umpteenth time in about 3 years sadly. Looking a bit bleak for "Pompey" atm but hopefully we'll pull through.

V8 Supercars: Holden

Follows the Australian teams in...Cricket, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Football.

Has no favourites but watches...Golf, Ice Hockey, NFL, Hockey and on and on it goes!

I went to both the recent England v Australia games, the one at wembley and the four nations final. Both unhappy memories :( we will beat you one day!!!!!
 
Wow JMac, you're all over the map!! How does a guy in PA love a football team in TN, a baseball team in CA and college sports from OH?:)

For what it's worth, I was a big Buckeye fan last week when they were kickin' some Blue Devil arse!!!

UK fan here! I'm from KY and it's the closest thing we have to a pro team so you may begin your Calipari bashing now! I may even join you after he gets the Cats on sanctions and moves on to some other school:)

NCAA football...War Eagle baby:) My wife is an Auburn alum so it runs in my family!!...and since the Cats suck at football I'm not two-timing.

yeah snooze... funny how the rest of the world prefers "soccer" to American football though. ;-)
 
No need for UK bashing today, Dex. What a shot! I'm a UNC fan so I definitely enjoyed that. My dad went to Chapel Hill so I've been watching the Tarheels since I was a kid. We can hate on Duke together, at least.

I'm a huge Baltimore Ravens fan. I don't watch hockey a ton, but I try to follow the Capitals. I'll start liking the Wizards again when they're good again (never). I like seeing OKC Thunder doing well. I love tennis, too. I don't get to watch soccer that much, but I love to watch anything better than MLS when I can. I'm finding baseball more and more boring as I get older.

Favourite sportsman: Novak Djokovic
