Hi,

today i went for my blood tests that i have before my infliximab infusion next week and this time they wanted me to do a urine test which i did and it turns out that they found white blood cells in my urine.. i have to wait for the results of my blood tests which i get next week it seems so far away and im just wondering if anyone has anything simular or know what it could be??

It's common to find a few white blood cells in the urine. High levels can mean an infection but usually only in the context of symptoms (like pain passing urine/having to go more often than normal) and a specific organism (usually a bacteria) growing when they culture the sample.

If you're feeling well generally, no specific bug grows from the sample, and your blood tests don't indicate an infection it hopefully shouldn't delay your infusion.
 
They did blood work on me recently along with some other tests. It is the first time I remember them checking my urine.

I think they mentioned that it was for the purpose of looking for infection. I am frustrated because it has been two weeks and I haven't heard back about results from calprotectin or urine.
