York,
So I had to have emergency surgery wed because of serve pain and what they thought was a large twisting cyst. After getting inside the cyst had untwisted it self and went down in size BUT what she (gyn) found surprised her. My bowel (ascending) was attached to my flopian tube and pulled over and down...and part of my transverse colon was attached to my stomach and was also attached to stomach wall and instead of it being straight across mid stomach as suppose to be it was normal on the side where it attaches to the descending colon but was pulled down towards right ovary . Anyway..she freed the bowel up and also discovered a lot of white tissue on top of the bowel. She had no idea what it was and she has never seen it however she took 50 some pictures for my GI. There was also a part of my bowel that was flaming red and she was not sure if it was inflammation or an infection. So I'm on antibotics .

Anyway long story short...2 days after surgery I keep hearing and feeling these popping sounds. You think it's just gas?

Sorry to hear about your emergency surgery!
At least they seem to have discovered some things along the way though.
I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question because I haven't had that sort of surgery before. But just wanted to send you some well wishes!

Sorry to hear about your surgery. I am suprised that your gyne did not call in a GI surgeon to look at that with the whole bowel being red and inflammed as well as that whit stuff.. Well, at least she took pictures. Not sure about the popping sound. I am guessing she did this surgery laproscopically right? Did you mention the poping noise to her?

Did she find endometriosis at all? I know endometirosis is known for adhesing all the organs together down there...

I hope you start feeling better real soon....

My gi does not practice at the hospital i was at. And yes lap surgery. I have not mentioned the noise. But it did stop so i assumed gas. They did not find any endo however i had a lot of adhesions from pervious stomach surgery .

I go to gi march 7th. :)
