I have read alot about people saying to eat white rice, plain foods to help with Crohn's... I have Crohns and have always ate alot of white rice ... I mean alot... I just love it.. but I think that the plain foods trigger me/? Does anyone else have this.. or am I the only one?
I think I am starting to figure out trigger foods, definitely fast food, and if I don't eat all day and then eat a big meal I usually get the horrible gut wrenching pain and diarrhea.
I haven;t figured out what else is my triggers, except possibly white rice

White rice doesn't really make my days go better - not a trigger, but it definitely seems to slow down digestion and make things a little unpleasant. Used to love it with meatballs. now, I can tolerate only a small amount of rice with anything. You are not alone by any stretch.

Me too, when I was flaring. I tried Low Residue when I first got sick but it didn't help. Discovered later that was because wheat, gluten, sugar and starchy stuff were my triggers. Another joy of Crohns: there's no set diet cos triggers vary from person to person. Keeping a food diary might help you identify what you can and can't tolerate.

I think I just found another food that doesn't agree with me. Potato salad. I had some one afternoon last week, and yesterday afternoon. Both days my body let me know it didn't care for it any longer.
