Hey guys! Thought I'd keep you updated. Had my laparoscopy on Thursday the 11th and they discovered that my appendix was enlarged, that I have adhesions all over my gallbladder as well as fluid in my pelvis. I had my appendix removed and this is my first day out of hospital after a nightmare...

Hi bozzylozzy With the doc we tried everything, food allergies, thought it was gastritis, IBS, Gilbert syndrome or even just plain gas as in a bubble being trapped in my bowel but none of them could explain the flare and remission. The problem just keeps coming back and getting worse as time...

The pain is more constant in the lower right side then sometimes all over the place, lower back even left hand side and belly button. Do you ever feel like this as well? hi cat-a-tonic....thank you for your reply. you know what!! i thought something was a bit weird about that test, i'm just amazed the GI didn't think of that. i'm not sure i want to go see him again as he based everything on this calprotectin test as well. he discontinued pred and all other tests...

    Crohn's or not?!?

Is it possible for celiac sufferers to have their symptoms suddenly disappear even without treatment and then come back even worst than before? Sorry for so many questions, I seem to have very very similar symptoms to celiac but this occurrence keeps baffling me!

Can your GP actually test you for celiac or only GI spec can?

    Crohn's or not?!?

Hi David and thank you :) The specialist ruled out celiac from the 'normal' colonoscopy I wasn't tested for vitamin B12 but I did have a test for calprotectin which came back as 0. However I was taking pred when I had the calprotectin test, I'm not sure if this may have affected the results but...

    Crohn's or not?!?

Yep, the biopsy revealed the active colitis but now that all the tests didn't really bring conclusive results, he gave up and gave me a referral to some other GI specialist. Up until now I had no idea you could have CD and still have normal tests results. How were you diagnosed? What helped out...

    Crohn's or not?!?

Hi partyboy690 I did try to discuss this with the specialist but because all my tests came back normal, he told me I must have had some infection at some point which is still healing. I don't quite buy that as this is obviously a recurring problem. Im a little scared about getting another...
