    Dumb Doctors

Same thing happened with my Remicade. I left it four years ago (about that timeframe) and just came back to it last year, now I'm barely hanging on with a colostomy and Remicade combo. Your doctor might switch you to humira or Remicade soon, since your body is building a tolerance to it.

    Prednisone moon face

I didn't taper much in my time, but that's because the doctors where I was at were irresponsible, and ended up giving me withdrawals from several other drugs (mainly painkillers, I don't know if pred has a withdrawl period). I'd advise staying away from empty calories like pop, and chips, bread...

    Need someone to talk to

I'm pretty sure you could private message your email to her. And I guess I'm open if you have any questions or anything, I've had Crohns for about 8 years so I know a lot of the ins and outs of it for a teen.

    Small for age

Hopefully once I hit a sort of "remission" again I'll hit a growth spurt. Same for you guys! I'm having A LOT of pain in my knees and legs right now...it's hopefully growing pains, or it might be arthritis. I hope it's not the latter :/

    Making friends with crohns

I just mention it in passing, I have one friend with IBS and I found out about it when we were discussing medical marijuana (he uses it) and I said I could probably qualify for it too, and then we started going a bit deeper and found out we both suffered from similar things. It's great having...

    How to survive school?

I've got a bag, so it's a bit hard. I'm in a new school now and don't know many people, but in my last school, I'd let my close friends know I had Crohns and they were chill, and my best friend also has IBS so he gets it. But everyone else just treats me for me, because no one else knows, but...

Should I give Humira a Shot?

I'd say give it a try, anything that has a chance of helping you out sounds worth it to me. Use some numbing cream and ice it 30 minutes before the shot, sometimes icing it makes it hurt more, sometimes it makes it hurt less, a lot of it is personal preference. I hope you get it under control...

    New medication. Which one?

Well, humira and remicade are made in similar ways, but you'll have to test which works best for you. The cons for remicade are that it is usually an annual 6-week infusion, and you have the chance to develop an allergy to it, and it takes a few hours to have the infusion. Cons for humira are it...

    Ensure only Nightmare

After a month long or more strict formula diet i've heard of people going into remission and gaining weight (if they were low). Stick to it and don't give up! I used to draw pictures of the foods I wanted in the hospital, just made me crave them more xD

    remission???

That isn't remission, if you are stilll experiencing constant symptoms. I have a few surgies still going through the kinks and I feel amazing, but because of the complications they still don't consider me there yet. It's actually great you reached this point so soon, I know some people solve it...

    Athletes or just being active!

Just keep at it, whether it's a physical pain or mental thing like anxiety, you could still try. I ski, snowboard, mountain bike, and long board all the time during their different seasons, and it relaxes me and allows me to get out with my friends and have fun, just keep going.

Any asymptomatic Crohnies with Scar tissue/surgery?

Me, but I've made it through with a colostomy, not worth it in my opinion. I'd rather go through daily hell on my stomach than this thing. Getting the scar tissue removed and colostomy removed during the summer, wish me luck!
