I was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease last December and was too weak to go to school for the rest of the semester. Now I'll be going back to school. Any tips for surviving the school year?

I usually carry around things in my backpack that usually helps remove pain while I'm at school.
Also, it might seem weird to explain your crohn's to your friends or your teachers, but I found it easier to get that of my back, and if they are true friends, then they will understand and like you just the same.
I hope this was helpful. :)

I've got a bag, so it's a bit hard. I'm in a new school now and don't know many people, but in my last school, I'd let my close friends know I had Crohns and they were chill, and my best friend also has IBS so he gets it. But everyone else just treats me for me, because no one else knows, but usually people won't judge you for it.

Also carrying supplies/medicine around in a small compartment works, and the school system and nurse knowing helps A LOT, the 504 plan (in the US) is a good benefit too.

It's good if you can somehow use a special bathroom, if they have one, so that in case if you have diarrhea, you can do it in privacy and not worry about classmates in the bathroom. I take college courses now and I'll usually use the bathroom on a different floor than my classroom, just to have a little more privacy.
