    Two Truths and One Lie!

Clash, That is so cool that you used to do that with trains! I always see it in the movies and it looks like such an adreline rush! :)

    Two Truths and One Lie!

I'm leaning towards #1 as the lie, too. Hmmm....

    Two Truths and One Lie!

Sarah, That you for all of the suggestions! My mom actually just bought some Stephen King books so I will see if I have any of the ones you listed. Wasn't the book The Golden Compass made into a movie? I could have sworn I saw a movie entitled that too! I would definitely not be turned off to...

    Two Truths and One Lie!

Sarah, That was a clever joke! :) Well, its a good thing that its not too serious and that you can get him to eat! Its funny, I would assume bigger dogs would need to eat more frequently. Well, I loved the Harry Potter series. And books by Ellen Hopkins. So, I would say fantasy, suspense and...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

xmdmom, I do have a cardiologist, so I will ask if they any opinion on it. I'm pretty sure my doctor knows about the condition, because I mentioned it before. But I will double check. I am actually on a beta-blocker, which usually keeps the rate around 70-90. Lately though, its been spiking...

    Two Truths and One Lie!

KWalker: Whoo! My brother got me into this bout of playing video games and eventually I realized it was way too much! Sarah: I'm sorry about your dog. :( That is so awesome that you have read that many books! Any recommendations?

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

I've heard about infections due to the lowered immune system. My uncle has warned me about them, too. Thanks for making me aware of that possibility! I do appreciate it! :)

    Two Truths and One Lie!

Sarah: Sadly, number 3 is true. I don't live a very exciting life and I have never been more than a few hours away from my house! I'm going to say that number 2 is your lie? I love reading myself but 600 books seems like so much! KWalker: I have to say, I'm not sure about yours. The first two...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

Dukeis, So it was certain that the Remicade led to the infection of your lungs? I'm glad that you were able to get it treated in time! I'm starting to think it wouldn't hurt too much to try, but I don't want to end up not being able to try it again later in the future if it doesn't work now...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

FullM3lt, Thank you for responding and thank you for the input! I've read about alternative treatment and a Professor of mine mentioned a doctor that has had success with herbal remedies. So I'm not opposed. Hope you are well!

    Two Truths and One Lie!

Since I'm new to the forum, I'd really like to get to know more people. This is a game I've played a lot of times when introduced to new people, and I'm sure some of you have played it before as well! It's called "Two Truths and One Lie". The basis of the game is to write down two truths about...

    Young & embarrassed

Hannah, I'm sorry that you are missing so much school. That way probably the hardest part of my senior year for me. Most of my teachers were good at helping me catch, even though I didn't go into detail with what was wrong me, since, at the time, I did not know that I had Crohn's. For the...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

Gianni, Thank you for all the links and information. I appreciate it! I actually used to be a vegetarian; I was one for three years before I had to quit. I had been completely healthy and about two years into the diet change, I became ill and haven't been well since. So I'm not sure how I feel...

    What Are You Thankful For

I'm thankful for finally being diagnosed yesterday, even if it was not the diagnosis I was looking for. The past four years have been hard, but I'm thankful for them because they have made me the person I am today. And I'm glad I finally found people to talk to--who understand. I'm blessed to...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

I will go search the Treatment section and see if I can find that, too. I will definitely have to talk to my doctor about that. I've had it happen before where medicines are no longer an option because I stopped taking them once before. I've heard of Humira. My uncle said that is an injection...

    Young & embarrassed

Hannah, I went through something similar in high school. I actually ended up missing a month of school, not consecutively, but that's when I realized something was seriously wrong. It was really difficult to open up to my friends and I didn't until recently. While some still don't understand...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

I actually wrote down questions for my appointment yesterday, but it just seemed like so much stuff, that even though I talked about everything I had written, I realized I had more questions when I left! You may know from experience, but is it true that once you start Remicade, if you stop, you...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

Clash, I'm glad that your son is doing better! My mom has a rather hard time with this; she hates seeing me sick. But thank you for the testimonial on the Remicade treatment. I'm eager to see how different people have done with it; helps me weigh my options. And writing down the questions is a...

Confused about what treatment to get? Remicade; good or bad?

My Little Penguin, I like how you put it into a perspective of how we are at risk of death nearly everyday. It's true. I always used to tell myself that after I heard it the first time, but I am so strung up on getting healthy I uneasy about taking risks that can put me on a detour to that...
