    Decisions, decisions - aaaarrrrrgghh!

I was on Entecort for quite a while (years rather than months) for me I had no great side effects. I lasted 8 weeks on Imuran and discovered I was allergic to it. I did see in the recommendations that entecort is supposed to be only for 8 weeks or so. Ah well you have to push the envelope. We...

My GI told me the same - I had a full colectomy and we later found that Colestipol worked better because the big D was being driven by bile salts. You may want to ask if you can try it. I hope this helps good luck

How not to get a prescription filled!!!!

Thanks for the reply I just find it amazing that for food they can clarify the ingredients and yet for medication they can add what they refer to as an inert ingredient which could contain wheat. Many cronnies cannot tolerate wheat/ gluten. Would this combination of certain poisons then prolong...

    Advice needed please..

Sorry to hear that your wife is having such a rough time. I too would look at diet. Keep a food diary and note any foods that she eats daily and remove them form her diet. Often the quickest way to identify the foods causing problems is to pick the ones she likes most. Be wary of cows milk and...

Meds three times a day: How punctual are you?

Good luck once a day I can cope with, twice a day is possible, 3 times a day I start missing and 4 times a day is a lottery. I am lucky at the moment only needing to take meds once a day. Good luck

Questions for those who have had surgery

May be you don't want the balancing response. After they took out my colon they found cancer - not big. I was in the 20% that don't register with the test. Better to find out after they took it away. Just means I have been watched more closely afterwards. Good luck

    Surgery

Good luck and ask them doing it laproscopically - it is a much quicker recovery. I had three years of remission after the colectomy.

Medication stop working - whats next?

I think I am having the same issue - I have been on Lialda for a few months and I think it has stopped working - so I have switched to the enemas for a while let the body get used to those and switch again. There are many choices these days - thankfully not always steroids Good luck

    Hi I'm Nicole

It is still working thankfully a bit headachy but that is just my reaction to these drug types - better than the alternative Normality is returning Sounds like you hate flagyl as much as I do. And you pay the doctor for advice on how to feel that bad. :) I hope Cipro works better for you...

    Hi I'm Nicole

Sorry I am not surprised Flagyl has that same effect on me. When you explain to the Doctor they have that surprised look on their faces. I would definitely ask for Cipro, for me I had little or no other reactions to it. Lialda is working the swelling and pain have reduced, frequency is still an...
