Hi Abdo,
Welcome to the forums!
I went to a nutritionist several years ago, the ones I have seen all wanted me to do things that my GI docs said not to. Be careful with nuts the pieces can cause nasty issues in your guts!
Hi Susie,
First welcome to the forums.
If she has an obstruction she wouldn't have passed the barium.
If its an obstruction she needs to be seen again asap. Depending on how bad it is surgery will most likely be required.
Hi! Welcome to the forums. It sounds like you have been through a lot with crohn's. I am sure lots of people here can benefit from what you have suffered.
Hi welcome to the forums.
Crohn's is a really hard pill to swallow at times. I know I have had it for almost 12 years.
I can't suggest an herbal therapy for you as none have worked for me, at all. I have tried several.
Some ideas I have for you are LDN there is a sub forum about it on the...
Welcome to the forums.
I have been on Remicade before, now I am on Humira both are biologics. Check out the treatment forums like Astra said it should help!
Welcome to the forums. Thank you for sharing your story here. It is rough when we go out of remission and re-live all the pain and misery of crohn's. I think time has a way of glossing over how bad it really can be. I hope they get you back into remission, and quickly.
Oh, I understand about...
yep you can get arthritis. but you may want to mention it to your GI in case it is a remicade reaction. I had severe all over joint pain from remicade. now I have severe spondy something or another (spinal arthritis) related to crohn's. If they say its not remicade go to a rhumatologist. my...
I have to wonder if I am the only one who does this.
How many of us have eaten something we should not have during the Holiday and are paying the price for it right now?
I would say it is more the Imuran than the entocort. But, Entocort is a steroid and you are getting the full systemic dosage I would guess taking it that way.
I have to wonder why they don't have you on prednisone rather than taking entocort that way, I would think its almost the same thing...
So I have been moved up to Humira weekly. I always get really tired and itchy after my injections for a few days. Anyone else have this and maybe a way to combat it? It was OK to be really tired for 2-3 days every two weeks but every week it is going to get old fast.
Hey that sounds JUST like my start of crohn's story, nurse practitioner told me to take fiber. Being the "good" patient I am I went right out and bought some bottle of fiber pain. Took it for 5 days and wanted to die. Stupid practitioner didnt seem to CARE I was dropping weight (you are loosing...
My Gi told me to take miralax for constipation. I am still on a fairly low fiber diet, have been on one for over 10 years now. GI tells me to eat some, but "don't go out and eat a salad" so some fiber is OK, but if it causes issues cut back.
Hi Kelly,
I have to agree with whats going on. It seems to me surgery should be a last resort. I hope this works for him, and works well.
I have had several strictures in the past that cleared up (for the most part) once the inflammation was under control.
Good Luck to you.
Sometimes a flare can feel very flu like. I have a stomach flu right now and only knew it was a flu because my son had it first.
I get nausea after every shot for a few days, and generally feel down. It has gotten better the longer I take it though.
Hope this helps some.
I did my injection and after the shot a bunch of it leaked out of my leg! not a little drop it was literally going down my leg. Anyone had this happen before? Do I need another shot or call my GI? I really do not want to flare this week.
