Hi I am going for my first iron infusion monday week as my hg is 9.6 and my gastroentrologist thinks i am not absorbing enough iron from tablets. just wondering how long does it take to work, i am suffering with fatigue and generally feeling ran down. crohn's is currently under control since...
Hi
Thanks for replies, i got blood work done recently, my haemoglobin has dropped in two weeks from 11.2 to 9.8 and also red blood cell count has gone down. Also something called alkaline phosphatase is low. But i think high is worse. Anyway my GP is getting me into to GI next week, thinks...
A friend of mine suggested getting a skin map done. I have just started 6mp and he suggested to do it, he is on Imuran, he got one done when he started because he says then you have a base and can monitor any skin changes. So I booked mine for February. Something to think about.
I think i am also using the new formula too, I use the syringe and I hate the pen. The dosage of the injection is more concentrated and definitely have notice that it doesn't hurt as much as it used to :)
Hi chums
I have recently started 6mp 50mg about 2 weeks ago. I am also on Humira which I have been on for about 18 months or so. The humira was starting to loose its affect so my doctor put me on steroids tapering from 40mg every 10 days and started me on 6mp a few weeks later. Now I am...
I have in the past been very sore after colonoscopy and passed some blood. But it is not uncommon to be sore if you are already inflammed. If you are worried about it I would contact your doctor.
Great Post thanks. Yea you are so right. All the websites are the same full of testimonials and trying to sell produce. The same is probably true for diets. No science behind them either.
i was on weekly at the beginning in the last few months im down to every two weeks which I am blaming for my current flare. I found the pins awful and prefer the injections The injections are even easier now as the amount of liquid is less in them but the dosage is the same
My disease started in the ileum. I started my disease with bad pain when I was first diagnosed. It used to be unbearable but over the years my disease shifted to my large intestine down near the rectum. I think it was worse for me when I had it in the ileum as I couldn't eat a thing without...
Hi all
This is just a complete general rant. But I am sick of this disease and how people out there really don't have a clue what we go through on a daily basis. It's not there fault but it really can be 'but you look fine' kind of a disease.
Do ye find that when it is not active, you...
i have found cycling the best, it doesnt give me the urge to go like walking. I have been told exercise is not a good idea when flaring. If I adhered to that I would never exercise. The time of day is a big factor. No way could I go cycling if I had to do it in the morning. Always went in...
Thanks for replies. So GAPS and SCD are essentially the same thing? Except that GAPS has a different intro stage. I feel better today because my nutritionalist said I was not loosing weight but inflammation and food so that is good! She said it is not possible to loose 5Ibs of fat/muscle in...
Hi
Sorry I know there is a probably a thread on this already. I've started the GAPS diet thinking I was doing a very good thing for myself. But now I am worried after reading countless articles saying the whole thing is 'quackery', and a money making racket.
I really hope that is not the...
Hi all
Just wondered if you think the pen or syringe is easier. I started with the pen, and accidentally my pharmacist gave me the syringes for a few doses and I went back to the pen again but the loud click freaks me out so much and I do think it is sorer than the syringe what about you?
Maybe you need to go on antibiotics to clear it. My doctor warns me that I have to go to her anytime I get a bad sore throat, apparently they have to monitor white blood cells to make sure that they are not gone too low. Have you had bloods done?
