    Half-Drunk and Heart-Broken

Oh I know it wasn't meant to be with the girl. The point I'm making is that it took me so long to trust a woman again, and I actually believed that this one was different. Sounds cliche saying it now, but that's how I felt at the time. I never actually believed she was the type of person to ever...

    Half-Drunk and Heart-Broken

I think my biggest problem is that I care too much. When people do things like this, I attempt to try and get inside their heads and figure out what kind of person they are, and why they would do such a thing. My personality is extremely fragmented at the moment. One min I'm happy as can be...

    Half-Drunk and Heart-Broken

Ok, I'm probably gonna regret talking about this, but I'm at that stage in my life where I think I need to. I haven't really discussed this with anyone as yet (my friendship circle is vastly deteriorating) and I know an Internet forum isn't the best way to express myself on the subject, but it's...

Difference between a colostomy and an ileostomy?

"People with colostomies who have ostomies of the sigmoid colon or descending colon may have the option of irrigation, which allows for the person to not wear a pouch, but rather just a gauze cap over the stoma, and to schedule irrigation for times that are convenient." It's unusual to think...

Difference between a colostomy and an ileostomy?

So with Colostomy bags mainly being non-drainable, does this mean they have control of the waste output? Or is it free-running like with the ileostomy patients? I just don't understand why they would use closed bags.

Difference between a colostomy and an ileostomy?

Thanks, I just wanted a simple breakdown. Do colostomy and ileostomy patients use the same type of bag?

Difference between a colostomy and an ileostomy?

This has probably been answered before, so my appologies first hand. Can someone tell me the difference? I currently have a reverse ileostomy, but even then the doctor's didn't really explain it properly to me. From what I've read up on, the ileostomy is applied to deal with problems in the...

    Celebrities with Crohn's; Ostomy bags.

Found this link. Quite interesting, but there must be more out there. http://www.ostomy.evansville.net/celebrity.htm I'm particularly interested in those with Ostomy bags. If anyone has any more info I'd appreciate it. I heard that Bob Hope had a bag, too.

    Ostomy and Clothing

Great thread, Kelly. I have been particularly paranoid the past night or so about what I've been wearing with my stoma. I tend to wear tight fitted t-shirts. If I didn't know you had a stoma, I wouldn't be able to notice at all :)

    Caffeine... Crohn's Related?

I should probably cut down, but I love the smell of Coffee (especially) so much. You must be able to tell the difference with decaff, surely? Personally, I've never tried it.

    Caffeine... Crohn's Related?

Some doctors/nurses are so stupid. My first diagnosis in hospital was 'constipation'. Erm, I think not.

    Caffeine... Crohn's Related?

Potentially? Is that your opinion or the doctors, Vanessa? Are you getting a lot of pain?

    Caffeine... Crohn's Related?

What are everyone's opinions on caffeine being linked to Crohn's Disease? I really have my suspicions. I mean, I'm a regular tea and coffee drinker, but particularly at the end of my university years, I drank it excessively (sometimes 4-5 BIG cups a day). On top of that, I drank alcohol...

Pearl Jam's McCready talks about new restroom access law.

Mike McCready and fellow Crohn’s and colitis activist Broh Landsman appeared on KING-5 Morning News this week to help lay out the facts about the recently passed Restroom Access Law in Washington State. With a series of safeguards in place for both consumers and business owners, the Restroom...

    Intimacy issues with ostomy bags

Well, I've never had problems talking about it on the web. Which is one of the reasons I love online support groups :) I've even got pics up. I just don't fancy bringing it up in an open conversation in my life, though. Don't see the point at this time. And I love how you say "butt". So...
