What kind of ebook would help patients?

Hi and welcome. I'd suggest getting a book written by a gastroenterologist as a starting place. I got one by Professor John Hunter. He's a GI specialist in the UK. I found the book easy to understand and it covered a lot of topics.

    Recently diagnosed with Crohns.

Hi Jason and welcome. Sorry you've joined the club. What you're feeling is very normal. Give yourself time to adjust (it may take months or a year or so to fully come to terms with it. It does get better. Are you under the care of a gastroenterologist? On any meds to get you into remission?

19 years old, this is my story

Hi and welcome. Give yourself time to adjust. Flare ups require some adjusting but when healthy I've always been very active (cycling, ice hockey, softball, etc.). This past September I even got a gym membership again. Sending you my support.

    Blood and Fatigue Question

I've even had a full workup with the hematologist (full bloods, bone marrow biopsy, scans, and yearly follow-ups) to rule out any blood/bone marrow cancers that may be causing fatigue. I'm sure I'll be going through that again sometime down the road.

    Blood and Fatigue Question

My blood was checked last week. I'll call tomorrow for the results. I'm on Remicade and azathioprine. Hadn't really thought that Remicade wouldn't work forever; makes sense. It's worked so well for me. Fatigue is a constant but the last couple weeks have been terrible. Today's has been...

    Blood and Fatigue Question

Thanks for the reply. The blood was one time and I think it was probably from the stoma (in retrospect). No fistula, no pain, nothing. So problems can happen even on Remicade I guess. Thanks again.

    New to Crohns

Acceptance of the disease is similar to the stages of grief. (I've read that on this forum numerous times). It's a lot to absorb. It would probably be a good idea to go to the library and check out some books written by gastroenterologist. Be careful of the internet, there is some truely...
