Yes, I've dealt with loneliness and depression. I've been on Zoloft for a number of years. It helps but some days I still get down.

    Back pain---Muscle or Joint???

I haven't been on in a few weeks, my apologizes. THANK YOU ALL for the replies. I haven't been a good patient. I've been ignoring my symptoms in hopes they would go away. But, no luck. I took today off work in fact--due to Back pain, bleeding and now dizziness/vertigo. I know, I know---bad...

What is it like being pregnant with Crohns?

I had two pregnancies back to back. Both were great. I had one flare with my first pregnancy but it went away on its own (rest, fluids, etc). I felt really good those two years...and stayed in remission for a few years afterwards too!

Colonoscopy #8 - Biopsy results - still "gray area" for me

So funny you ask. My GI doctor is hesitant to put me on meds right now. (In the past, I have done Flagyl, Bentyl, Steroids, Asacol and Rowasa.) He said there are too many side effects. At the same time, he is afraid to let it got if I am sick (plus as we know untreated IBD puts us at an...

Colonoscopy #8 - Biopsy results - still "gray area" for me

Lab report says "Mucosal erosion with acute inflammation" in sigmoid colon. (Doctor saw the inflammation so he knows it is there)... BUT Basically didn't confirm Crohn's or UC, but instead "unspecified colitis". UGH, 20 years and 8 scopes later, there is still no definite DX!!!! I get...

I am bad. I have a coffee each morning and a small Coke at lunch. Two cups of caffeine per day. If I feel really sick to my stomach, I skip the coffee but not often.

What's your CRP during a flare?

Doctor didn't measure my CRP, but I had elevated ALT (liver enzymes) before my recent flare.

    Is it ibd or not?

Crohn's is tricky...And getting a DX is not easy! I'm sorry you are frustrated. I have had bleeding on and off for 18 years, yet my chart still reads "Questionable Crohn's". (But in my gut, no pun intended, I know it's IBD. I have joint pain, intestinal bleeding, etc.) I have had 8...

    Back home from colonoscopy

"Erythema and friability in the sigmoid colon" which I think is fancy for "inflammation and bleeding"? Biopsies taken, of course. But overall, very mild inflammation, yay! No meds right now. Will wait until I see him in two weeks for biopsy results (well except Anusol suppositories for the...

Bowel Prep - your faves and worsts

Do they still make the Fleet oral solution? It's nasty (lime saltwater), but atleast you only drink two cups (and not a gallon!)

Bowel Prep - your faves and worsts

I have had 7 or 8 scopes, and each time was different. The WORST was the gallon of Go-lyte. That was nasty and I couldn't finish it!! (but never told the GI that, ha!). Last time I did a "Miralax with Gatorade" combo, and that was by far the best tasting!! But I never quite felt that I Was...
