    Skyrizi & Blood

That’s good to know!!! Thank you for the info! I did notice that the blood went for a few days and then was gone. One thing I'm thankful for though is that even though I had blood, there was no pain!!!! That's definitely a change for me!

    Skyrizi & Blood

Hi. For those of you who are taking Skyrizi. Have any of you had blood within your first week of your second infusion? For me it's a little strange, because I had none during my first dose, however I started seeing a little shortly after my second this last Thursday. Then, today on Tuesday...

    Long time no see...

Jo-mom, insurance finally approved it!!! Between insurance and Skyrizi I didn't pay anything for my first infusion May 9th and just had my second one yesterday June 6th!!! I was off on vacation for majority of the time after my first infusion, which ended up being very helpful!!!! Since I've...

    Major cause of IBD found?

I'm afraid that sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between UC and Crohn's. I know that in my case, I was always told that mine was UC and treated as so. However, recently it was scene as Crohn's and supposedly it was possible that my diagnosis should have always been Crohn's anyway...

How to travel overseas with 1 year of Skyrizi? let's brainstorm

Only thing I can think of is that when I signed up with Skyrizi they gave me a nurse ambassador for questions and all. I admit that I've been too busy to actually contact this person though (I'm getting my 2nd infusion this week). It seems like you should be able to contact this person and...

can I give Humira shot day earlier

I know that it's the weekend. But, is there a way you can contact her medical team? My concern is more about your daughter's temperature than anything. Seems like a day early would be alright with the medication, although with not being a doctor I can't tell you for sure. Good luck and...

    2 Hour Injection

My infusion only took a little over an hour when all was said and done! All has gone well with Skyrizi too, am looking for my second one this next week 6/6. Do, know that in my third week my dose seems to be weakening and some symptoms are showing back up. Not as bad so far though. Those of...

    2 Hour Injection

Thanks! Yes, I've already asked and it's been showed that my infusion will take 2 hours. I think I will be taking a book with me when I go and will keep you updated.

    2 Hour Injection

I'm starting my Skyrizi injections tomorrow morning. I was wondering what you all do for that 2 hours while the needle is going? I've never done anything like this before, so it's all new to me. Can you please give me some ideas how to pass the time? Thanks!

    Long time no see...

Since it'd been 2 weeks since I'd talked to the doctors about getting onto Skyrizi, I emailed my GI last Thursday afternoon. Finally got a response from the infusion department yesterday. Told me that they were still waiting for insurance and that it may be up to 15 more days until it's...

Any experience on carrying Humira on flights

I don't know about yours. But, I just found out that Skyrizi's website says that you can request a specific travel case for keeping Skyrizi cold for 8 hours while traveling. Looks like when I sign up with them, I can request one & they will send it to me. Is there a way that you can check...

    Long time no see...

I'm afraid that I've been gone for quite awhile. Reason being that my UC had been going pretty much well & life has been a bit crazy lately anyway. But, recently my IBD has been acting up & I've been poking around again. Come to find out, my Colonoscopy in 2023 confirmed that I was inflamed &...

    Looking for advice

My GI recently re-diagnosed me from UC to Crohn's and my new GI is trying to put me on Skyrizi. It makes more sense now that I happened to look to see when this medication was made and found out how new it is!!! Thanks for the info about the challenge my GI will have to get me covered with...

How likely is Crohn's colitis to evolve into affecting the small bowel

I'm afraid, I'm not sure. I do know though that my UC has moved around a bit since I was diagnosed in 1996. However, I have also been seen by two different GI doctors. The best I can say is that each person is different. Wish I could help more. Cross-stitch

Diarrhea and Remission - Do Foods Trigger This?

Hi. Yes, I've been in remission for a bit and still get symptoms occasionally once in awhile. The cause could be foods, stress and even my time of the month will do it. Doesn't actually mean I'm really in a flare, just part of the game for me. However, if the symptoms do happen I do my best...

    Reusable Pads

Pretty intriguing huh? HeHe!! Yeah, I've done all kinds of research and this is the pattern I think I like the most and the easiest to make. I think I'd probably make the panty liners first to see how they turn out though. The only thing is putting plastic snaps into it and that's what's...

    Reusable Pads

Hi, Last year my husband and I were planning to travel to England, except the vacation was cancelled because of Covid. But, we're still hoping to still go there someday maybe once all the vaccinations are done and all. Anyway... I've been reading and seeing that over there the ladies don't...

Thoughts on routine Colonoscopy during Pandemic

I had a routine colonoscopy done the last day in September and had no problem at all. I was diagnosed over 20 years ago and my GI had been bugging me to do it. I too am in remission although, he did find some inflammation. I'm sure all will be fine with you too! Take care! :)

Double colonoscopy prep? Shout out to those prepping in the next few days...

Just wanted to let you know that I've been there with the frustration. Sad to hear that nothing was found, but also thankful too. Afraid best thing I can do is send you lots of hugs right now. Please keep us updated. 🤗
