Starting liquid diet -what to have?

Not sure what type of liquid diet you are looking for. I drank Ensure and Boost drinks in the past to make sure I got the vitamins and calories needed when I couldn't eat solid foods.

    Any advice

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Though food does not cause Crohn's I do believe it can aggravate it. One thing my GI told me very early on was to remember that anything that could upset an average person's digestive tract can have a much worse effect on mine...fried...

    Eating dairy again?

I still can't drink milk or eat ice cream, but I can eat cheese and yogurt. I like Greek yogurt the best and the cheese is fine as long as it isn't too much at one time.

Share your experience of practising exercercises

I like to do pilates or yoga a couple of days a week and then add a day or two of a cardio workout like Zumba. If I over do it I am exhausted for a couple of days after so I don't do cardio more than a couple of days a week.

Lightheaded and dizzy -- which Dr to call first?

I have low blood pressure which can cause me to get dizzy, but I also think dehydration is also a culprit.

Feeling like a Puffalump...Do you ever request labs?

I always call or email my Dr if I feel something is wrong. He usually requests the labs and then schedules an appointment.

    Heart rate

My heart races when flaring (125 or so). I would have it checked out just in case. My Dr said mine was because my body was stressed...it did go down once my inflammation went down.

    Caffeine - Any coffee drinkers?

I have been in remission but still can't drink more than 2 cups of coffee in a day. I end up getting heartburn and or diarrhea. I also have GERD though. For me I think it's the acidity more than the caffeine. Some sodas I am ok with. Coke seems to bother me. I haven't had a Mountain Dew in...

Colonoscopy #8 - Biopsy results - still "gray area" for me

Agreed! My GI thought it would help, but it didn't. My results didn't show the markers at all. He basically said it was a waste of time and money. I don't think I would ever do it again.

What happens if I'm not flaring when I have colonoscopy?

When I had a colonoscopy and I wasn't flaring he could see scaring where ever I had inflammation before. He said he could see it clearly and showed I had a lot of damage done due to the inflammation. Not sure if that's true for everyone though.

    Mouth sores - Question

I have gotten canker sores under my tongue, on the sides of my tongue, inside cheeks, along gum line, and inside the lips for as long as I can remember. I don't get them often, but I do get them. Never a cold sore though. I do get a sore tongue...almost like I'm getting a canker sore, but then...

GI symptoms worsening; No diagnosis received yet

Hi and welcome to the forum. I had several tests in the beginning to help diagnose. IBD can be very complicated and shows up in different parts of the GI tract. Also, there are some conditions or infections that can have similar symptoms. A colonoscopy should give more info. I had a CT scan...

Have you ever been asked about your mental health by your GI?

My GI does ask me how I am doing but my regular Dr is who gave me meds when I was having anxiety issues in the beginning of this Crohn's rollercoaster. I truly believe you have to take your health into your own hands. If you don't feel right mentally or physically you need to seek out help from...
